I find it hard to say Good bye to Kevin. I really got close to him when he'd come and stay with me in So CA. He'd take me driving around in his convertible, would feel young again. He was always concerned about my health and would find all kinds of ways to help me. His visits were never long enough and I'd miss him so much when he left. Kevin will always be in my heart. In about 1979, Kevin, Barry and Ron piled into a car and headed down to Edmonton for some adventure. They booked into the Mayfield Inn (?) and called me up to say HELLO! I was blown away by Kevin's daring and confidence. I had not seen the boys since they were little and Kevin was a true Brandl man, mature and capable, with Barry and Ron close behind. At 10 years older and an old married lady I still hadn't worked up the courage to get my drivers license, let alone take a road trip.The boys came over for a bbq and I made my specialty - enormous hamburgers. My husband Rick had a big appetite and I had learned that it was easier than making oodles of normal sized burgs. Rick and Kevin each easily chowed down three (proven to be a maximum in the past) and then Kevin wowed us all by packing away most of a fourth.Phenomenal! I don't know if he always had such a healthy appetite but he impressed the socks off me and nobody ever broke his record.No words are adequate to express how sad I feel to learn of Kevin's death. I can not imagine how devastated Vic, Edith, Barry and Ron are feeling as well as the rest of the family. I can only send my love, sympathy and hope that you are able to find strength to weather this sorrow. Love to all, Karen and Rick Lambert.

Many years ago when VE Brandl & sons had an office in Execuplace, I was a receptionist at the front desk for over 10 years so got to know them.
