Maxine and I have had great times with Del & Hilda. I still remember Del moving a family across the lake. He towed a barge with live animals on it. No protection on the sides. It was hilarious. (a Mr. Spankie I believe. Later in life he always was prepared with a pocket full of gospel tracts to hand out. He never hesitated to share his faith. Our condolences to Hilda and all the family. Del & Hilda visited us, and we had many great times together, sharing laughing, and prayer times with kids. Byron especially enjoyed those times, as he also lived in PG where they lived at one time.

I have lots of memories or Uncle Del and Aunt Hilda visitoring us in Grassy Plains. Uncle Del had a sore back for a while there and I count believe how early he would get up!! I remembered his love for fishing and his passion for telling others about Jesus. Aunt Hilda and family, my thots and prayers are with you.

Del,of all family members you are the one I could relate to the most. You were not a image Christian. You were not materialistic, you had a heart for the lost. You treated Bob like a brother and always inquired about our children , My best memory was when you came to visit me in P.A.. You had your video camera. I was in real estate at the time. I had to pretend to sell you a house so you could record it. I had changed brokers and the previous was still using my name on for sale signs. We went to all my old listening and you took down my name boards. We had a good laugh.

Hilda & Del, Anne & myself spent many hours together in fellowship and always had a great time. Often together with Del, we would share the love of Jesus with people in the community of Grassy Plains. The memories I have of Del is a man who was very passionate about his faith and was always there for the cause of Christ. He was not ashamed of the Gospel and was always willing to share it with anyone. When Del passed away, I was in Africa on a missions trip. I was thinking of Del at this time, knowing his passion for lost souls, and thinking of how much he would have loved to hear about 15,000+ people that came to know Jesus as their Savior. Del was a great brother. I've had many many wonderful times with him. His whole family including siblings was special to him and he cared deeply about each one. Once I remember Del came home from Vancouver to the farm, and the family sat spell bound listening to his stories of life in the big city. Hilda, Linda, Cliff, Cindy, Rachel and Matthew, I know how hard it is to lose a very special person. Losing a spouse has it's own unique and very difficult times. You as a family are in my heart and in my prayers.
