Obituary of Carol McLelland

Obituary Carol McLelland, resident of Fort St. John, BC passed away on October 10, 2018 at the Fort St. John Hospital. Carol was born on October 30, 1943 in Vancouver, British Columbia and in years to follow she moved north where she’d been a resident for over 45 years. She described herself as being the “country bumkin” and enjoyed the solitude, quiet and community that came from living in small town northern BC. Carol loved “being in the bush” where she tended her lush patio container garden filled with pansies, peas, corn and even sunflowers that the squirrels helped her plant each year. Carol was a small business owner, an inspiring painter and avid reader who liked to challenge her mind. She especially loved her family and was very grateful for the support of her husband, two sons, caregivers and coffee and tea groups. A Celebration of Life will take place at the McLelland residence at 14141 Highway 29, Fort St. John, BC on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
