Barb will be remembered for her: terrific sense of humour, kindness and compassionand for her community spirit. Albert and Barb were Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Lake (aka the Mayor and Mayoress). We always looked forward to visiting with them at the store and then dropping by for a visit at their home in later years. Barb will be with her sweetheart now. Heaven's gain is our loss. So much love and caring from this woman. I knew her when I got my first job in the credit union when I was 15. Again when they lived in Hudson Hope while the dam was being built. She was a going concern in those days. She couldnt wait for Albert to put in the sewer so she just went out one day and dug it by hand. We became good friends then and stayed that way. She was the kind of woman that you just wanted to hug. So sorry for Sam and Michelle and families.

What can I say about this woman who was like a mother to me....so selfless, so loving, so giving ...laughed , cried, loved to tell jokes and loved a good glass of rum & coke out by the fire in the summer!!
