Obituary of Tony Jefferies

Obituary It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Jefferies, who died suddenly on Dec 25, 2018. He is survived by his wife Theresa(Terry), daughter Sadie, son Nicholas (Nick), brother s Christopher and Neil and sister Norah. Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Tony attended college to become a pressman. He moved to Fort St. John in 1976 to work at the Alaska Highway News until downsizing occurred. He then set up his own company Cliffside Printing. Tony embraced Fort St. John and the north experiencing everything it had to offer. He loved to learn ad whatever he did he did passionately and gave 110%. Tony was heavily involved in the Church of the Resurrection, the Knights of Columbus and the Rotary Pipe Band. Among his other undertakings he was a husband and father, a scout leader, a private pilot, a bagpipe player, a beekeeper a photographer, a golfer and an avid reader. During certain times of the year you could find him doing various hobbies like gardening, canning, woodworking, beekeeping, hunting, fishing and scuba diving. He also cooked, baked, and repaired anything he could; a man of many talents. Although he did many things, Tony’s greatest offering was his devotion to God and his generosity to people, whether it was to give something, to help someone, or to just be there and listen. He welcomed all who came to him. He was very generous and helpful to people and the community; always giving of himself and never asking in return. Tony, you were a rare person.
