Today I was thinking of my friend Lois, we usually chat around this time of year. I was thinking today we haven't chatted for a while and something in my mind told me to check for an obituary....and yes, here it is. My friend has gone on to be with her beloved husband. What was it she used to say....she was content but not happy, this was because she missed her husband so much. I just heard Lois had passed and was so sorry to hear it. She was an amazing lady, and so uplifting to be around. When I was a kid our families spent some time together, and my mom Julie thought of Lois as her best friend. I believe she was my namesake. My mom said she couldnt wait to get together with Lois and clack, which was their term for girl talk. I have many happy memories of Lois, Jack, Rene, Gord, and Bryce. Danny came along later when I was older. We so looked forward to our visits with your family. I especially remember Bryce because I think we are the closest in age and we played a lot together. Im so sorry for the loss of your Mom. . I hope Julie and Lois are sitting up in heaven clacking.

Growing up Jack and Lois's home was my second home they became my second family. I will always treasure the times we shared and the love they so freely gave to me. Many years ago, when driving from Pink Mountain to FSJ, Dad would stop on some business in Wonowon and I would accompany my Mom as she visited with Lois at the Post Office she looked after for so long. The friendship remained, as Lois worked hard to make the Wonowon gymkhanas such a success. Always, she was so very encouraging and kept meticulous records of all the wins. Later in life, Lois was a welcoming friend to my Mom when Mom moved into the Heritage to become Lois' neighbour. Lois will always be a bright and pleasant memory for me.

About 53 years ag I spent a lot of time at the Hill's home. Lois was a second mom to me. Rene and I were good friends and we spent a lot of time together. Lois & Jack were so good to me. I loved her caring, kindness and acceptance. The family is in our prayers, and Lois is in Jesus arms.
