Obituary of Tony Dale Whitford

Obituary It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Whitford. With family by his side, Anthony passed away peacefully on May 3rd, 2019 at the age of 72. Tony Dale Whitford is survived by: his children Chris (Laureen), Curtis (Christine), and Shanda (Jason McAfee), grandchildren (Brodie, Randi & (Brent Loewen), Garet, Caylie, Jayden, Jackson and Emerson; mother of his children Gwen Rubie; his siblings Terry Fortin (Pat), Linda (Roger Sarauer), Connie Kyllo, Ed (Jean), Fred (Lynn), and Jeanie Bonin( Dan); and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Tony was predeceased by parents Mildred and Arthur Whitford, sister Claire, brother-in-law Don Kyllo and nephew Kevin Sarauer. Tony was a long time Fort St. John resident who played and coached many sports teams and was a well respected trucker. He enjoyed being with is children and grandchildren, watching them play on teams and attending family gatherings. Tony will be dearly missed by family and friends! A Celebration of Tony's Life will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church in Fort St. John on May 13th at 1:00 pm with a reception and fellowship to follow. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in honor of Tony to the Fort St. John Friendship Center.
