On behalf of Marcie and the family & friends of Rod Rogers wed like to share our gratitude for all of the condolences and acts of kindness after his passing.To paraphrase another great Mr. Rogers- in sad times just look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.To Rods doctors, thank you for keeping him as comfortable and peaceful as possible. To the neighbours, family and friends who brought food and words of care, thank you. To the District of Taylor, Staff and organizers of the Kids Camp, thank you for changing your plans so we could hold his service at the Taylor Hall; we appreciate your efforts more then you know, it was the perfect place to be although it could hardly contain the love and memories. A very special thank you to Pastor Tom Lavigne for coming from Prince George to walk beside us in our time of grief. And for guiding us through the service along with Hamres Funeral Chapel. To Bill Baker, a man who became family, you had the daunting task of putting Rods legacy into words and you always do so beautifully. Tom and Bill; Rod didnt want much for a service but we knew we couldnt send him off without the best and you both did a amazing job honouring Rod.To the musicians Wayne, Sharon & Heather Lebeau and Terry Townsend; music can always say more then regular words and your songs spoke when we couldnt, thank you. To the ladies in the kitchen, and the numerous Taylor residents that cooked and baked and provided refreshments for the tea- thank you for taking that task off our shoulders and allowing us to spend that time sharing stories and priceless memories. To everyone who has reached out, thank you for sharing your stories with us, every laugh, every smile from the memories keeps reminding us that joy is still present even as we part ways with our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother, friend and businessman.
