Obituary of Lorna Tourangeau

Obituary LORNA ANN TOURANGEAU APRIL 8, 1963 ---- October 29, 2019 Lorna was born in Fort Smith, NWT on April 8, 1963. She moved to Fort Nelson and lived with her Uncle and Aunt, Ralph and Lena Friesen for some time. It was there in 1983 that she met the love of her life Lonnie Ashdown. They said it was love at first sight and it must have been as they were inseparable and by each others side for the next 36 years. Lorna was a very talented lady in so many ways. She was an excellent cook, baker, seamstress and decorator to name only a few. She enjoyed decorating her house and keeping it in immaculate condition. She loved animals of all kinds and she and Lonnie always had a little dog with them where ever they went and like Barney is now they were all a big part of their family and very spoiled. Lorna loved the shopping excursions that Lonnie took her on to Dawson Creek and many other places. She liked to dress in the latest fashions and she loved her “bling”. She had a very generous spirit and many a good friend was the recipient fine garments and other gifts because of her bigheartedness. Lorna always enjoyed her visits to see her much loved family members in Fort Chip and other places in Alberta and always came back with exciting stories to tell her friends. Lorna was employed at the Fort Nelson General Hospital where she had many co-worker friends whom she considered part of her extended family. Her bubbly and affectionate attitude made her fun to be around. At family gatherings she would always bring her cheery and jovial spirit that everyone looked forward to. Lorna leaves to mourn her, her Husband Lonnie and many family members and friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
