Our deepest sympathy goes to all of you, we hear so many stories about grandpa Barton from our son-in-law Lynden. The few times we met him he was always so kind and easy to visit with. You will miss him so much but we are so thankful that you know he is alive and well in heaven!

What a tremendous spirt and role model he was. I only knew of him through Emperor's Challenge marathon, but the crowd awaited his finish every year, with great excitement and accolades. My condolences to his family and friends.

Please accept our sincere and heartfelt sympathies to the Barton family. Gene was the nicest man ever just like his friend Larry Babkirk. May you both be encircled in the arms of the Lord and your families can be comforted with knowing that You will no doubt be telling your same funny pipeline stories. These men were the most salt of the earth people and will be so sadly missed and big hole will be left without them.

Oh how sorry I am to hear of your loss Kathy LeBlanc . I have such fond memories of your dad. He was always so gentle and kind, always said hello, always had a kind greeting on Sunday mornings anywhere in church. I will never forget as a young child seeing your dad often stand up at testimony time or at Wednesday night prayer meeting and share his great love for Jesus, his encouragement to us all to cast our burdens and cares upon him. He shared struggles and how the Lord answered or gave him strength. He talked about the miracle of prayer, he talked about sharing his love of Jesus with others, and challenged us all to take everything to God in prayer. He truly had an impact on my young heart. Sincere condolences to you and all the Barton families. Terry-Lynne Morehouse (Shauer)
