Obituary of Douglas Marlatt

Obituary It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Robert Marlatt. At age 69 years young he led a strong, healthy and spiritual life. Doug grew up in Hope, BC where he raised his two daughters. Later in life he moved to Buick, BC to enjoy the peacefulness on his farm along side his animals. Doug is survived by his two daughters Crystal and Melissa, their husbands, and four grandchildren, his eight siblings, and an incredibly loving community of family and friends. He had a passion for dancing, spending time in nature, and enjoying the solitude of the farm. Doug had many talents, he worked in the forestry industry, volunteered as an auxiliary RCMP, and after retirement was the President of the Derrick Dance Club in Fort St. John. Doug led by example encouraging others to have a strong work ethic, to be present, to laugh, and to have faith in God. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, memorial services will be postponed at this time and held later in the year.
