Obituary Patricia Vera Krysta (nee Clarke) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their Mom and Grandma, Patricia Krysta. Pat passed away peacefully at home in Charlie Lake, BC, on Monday, June 29th, surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born on April 12th 1941 in the Willowvale District of Spirit River, Alberta, as the 5th child to Christopher and Vera Clarke. Pat was predeceased by her parents, her ex-husband David Krysta, sisters Nora, Gwen and Irene in addition to, numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by her children Darrell (Karen), Trudy (Christopher) and Trina, grandchildren Marlene, Jordyn and Michael, siblings John(Ollie), Dave (Evelyn), Eleanor, Anne, Mike(Pat), Brian(Darlene), Robert and Kathy and many nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends. In honour of Pats’ wishes, there will be no services held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Pat passed away peacefully at home in Charlie Lake, BC, on Monday, June 29th, surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born on April 12th 1941 in the Willowvale District of Spirit River, Alberta, as the 5th child to Christopher and Vera Clarke. Pat was predeceased by her parents, her ex-husband David Krysta, sisters Nora, Gwen and Irene in addition to, numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by her children Darrell (Karen), Trudy (Christopher) and Trina, grandchildren Marlene, Jordyn and Michael, siblings John(Ollie), Dave (Evelyn), Eleanor, Anne, Mike(Pat), Brian(Darlene), Robert and Kathy and many nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends. Pat left the family farm at the age of 15 where she then spent several years in Spirit River and Grande Prairie before heading to Edmonton. In Edmonton, after Pats’ eldest son Robert was born and placed for adoption, she graduated from The School of Nursing in 1961 with her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate. Pats’ work took her to various parts of northern Alberta and BC where she met and married her ex-husband, David, in Fort St John, in 1965. In Vancouver 1966, their first child, Darrell, was born and shortly after, Pat and Dave moved to their new family home in Fort Nelson, BC. Pat left Fort Nelson in 1985 to live in Edmonton where she worked for many years until early retirement at age 63. Pat then helped to raise her grandson, Michael, until moving to Grande Prairie, followed by Fort St John. Pat was active in baseball, curling, Royal Purple, Figure Skating Club executive, Minor Hockey and Cub Scouts. She was also an avid sewer, gardener, reader, lover of country music, dedicated grandma, loving mother and cherished friend to many. Services
