Whenever he phoned our house and whenever I answered the phone, he had a joke to tell! He was quite a reader and hed call me up and say that he had a box of books for me! I bake Christmas goodies every year and Neil and I always took him a basket of them every year and wed sit and have coffee with him! Hed say, if I eat all those goodies, what happens if I cant buckle my belt anymore? I said, then just take it off! I am so glad that he was such a good friend to us!
