Passed away peacefully July 6th, 2020 with Donna by her side. Born to Peter and Hazel Rindal in Domremy, Saskatchewan. Eleanor was the youngest of three children, brother Thomas and sister Martha. Eleanor met Allan Lewis in 1957 at Birch Hills, Saskatchewan, and they were soon married July 19th, 1959. They lived in Saskatchewan on the Lewis farm where oldest daughter Joan was born, followed by son Rodney. Allan got the itch to move, so they loaded up and moved to Hanna, AB. After a few years, Allan got the itch to move again, so in 1967 they moved to South Peace Stock farm where their youngest daughter Donna was born. Once they were settled at South Peace, Eleanor said, “I am not moving any farther north”. Little did she know, there would be one more move, a few miles further north up the Alaska highway. In 1976 they purchased a farm of their own on top of the north Taylor hill, and on the 7th day of the 7th month 1977 they moved into the new home they built on the farm. Eleanor was diagnosed with Dementia over 10 years ago, but due to her feisty personality and persistent nature, she was able to maintain life on the farm, cooking, cleaning, and gardening for several years. Her health started to fail more aggressively over the past few months, but she still managed to stay at the farm right up to a few days before her passing. Eleanor was fortunate to never have to work away from her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and later in life, grandmother. She loved curling, this going back to her Saskatchewan roots. Later in life, Eleanor joined the Fort St John Seniors Association that she attended twice a week, and met many life long friends. Eleanor loved her family very deeply. Nothing could come between the love she had. She loved visits with family and friends and would light right up when seeing the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eleanor is survived by her loving husband Allan, her sister Martha Readman, Sister-in-law Winnie Rindal, daughter Joan, son Rodney (Val), daughter Donna (Michael), Grandchildren Cole (Alana), Shelanda (Devon), Sean (Alanna), Brandee (Ryan), Bryce, Lisa, Anita (Corey). Great Grandchildren Austin, Ethan, Kali, Levi, Roman, Lennon, Liam, Swae, Ledger, Kaylei, Kyle, Landon, Lane, Sydney, Summer, Sasha(Michael), Sterling (Kitara), Regann (Leo). Eleanor will be dearly missed by her family and friends. To join the family for the service, please use the following link https://youtu.be/WriRzc9lfe8 Services
