Bill and Dorothy were close neighbors while growing up in Cecil Lake. Lori was one of my closest friends, so I spent a lot of time visiting at the Edwards house and even travelled with Bill and Dorothy and Lori to Vancouver once. My memory of Bill is of a kind, gentle man with a big smile. I was so very saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts and condolences go out to the entire family and especially to Dorothy, (one of the strongest, kindest, hardworking, women I had the privilege to know) and to my dear childhood friend, Lori.Lily Jean Wahl (Thompson)

My condolences to Dorothy and all of Bills family. He was my bus driver and neighbour. The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of him is the smile and twinkle in his eyes. Such a gentle soul.

Ill never forget the time I was sent to the Dawson Hospital, and Grampa was the first person to show up, despite the tense situation in my family. He held my hand and promised me he'd stay so I didnt have to be alone. He said "As far as I'm concerned you are my daughter, and I love you. Life is tough but you are tougher". It was the first time I'd ever heard him speak the words "I love you" to anyone. 14 years later I still hear those words loud and clear. Grampa was the man who would go up to bat for me, no questions asked. He was the man so would sit quietly beside me, grab my hand and ask if I was okay in the heart. Grampa was the man who understood my soul without needing to explain myself. He was the man to make light of any situation and share a belly laugh. We joked many years about him walking me down the isle on my wedding day, and damnit we did that. I'm so happy and honoured to have shared that moment with him. From easter eggs, to dominos, to stories over coffee, watching clint eastwood movies, drawing horses, and hugs of comfort in stressful times, we shared so many great moments. He was the man that believed in me, who helped shape my life and keep my values on track. To say he will be missed in an understatement. Him and Gramma are the rocks in my life that hold my foundation steady. Life is a little unbalanced without you in it, grampa. But we will make it.
