Every time someone steps onto the ice at the Clearview arena, it is an unspoken tribute to Lyle as he was so instrumental in keeping the doors open in the early days when it was operated by volunteers. Andy would remark that Lyle always had a common sense, get it done followed by a now come for coffee Our condolences to all the family.

We are all so sorry for your loss! The thing I will always remember about Uncle Lyall is his laugh!!! Every part of him laughed! His shoulders shaking, his face lit up and of course in true Edwards squinty eye fashion - you couldnt see his eyes. His laugh would echo through a reunion. Most times we didnt know what he was laughing about ( probably didnt want to know) but he would have everyone laughing. What a gift! He has a legacy of love for his family and a sense of humor that will always be remembered. Rest In Peace Uncle Lyall. Your work here is done!!!

My deepest condolences. He always made me laugh and teased me. I remember a time we both got called for seeing about being on a jury for the case of Wendy's being robbed. I sat down. I did not think who was sitting next to me. He says hi Shannie, I said hi Mr Edwards. He said call me Lyall. Then he started teasing me having me laughing. Then when I used to serve him and the Mrs at A&W he would make me laugh so I would tease him back. He was one of the greatest men I have known. Lyall now you will soar with the angels. Teasing people and making them laugh up there. You will be missed never forgotten. ox
