Bob had a fun and adventurous personality-life was to be challenged, even from a young age, trying and succeeding at new endeavors. Bob is my cousin; this smiling, fun cowboy, raised on a farm to know, understand and respect Nature, challenging Her throughout his very fulfilled life. Maxine and family, our hearts are with you all - a wonderful fellow has left us with many thoughts and memories. Joy (cousin) and Howard McKee

Bob Kjos, consumed at a very young age, and encouraged by his Father, Eric Kjos; Bob's love of horses led him into his passion and intense lifestyle of a true Western Cowboy throughout his entire life. An accomplished and well respected horseman, rancher, Trophy Big Game Guide and Outfitter, daring bush pilot, Bob acquired picture-perfect knowledge of the Alberta Foothills, the Rocky Mountains in Alberta and Northern BC. As an author Bob's book, "Horseshoe in My Hip Pocket Lucky Again!" is a treasured testimony of this Cowboy's dedication, determination and tenacity in living and working the Western heritage. Bob wrote of growing up, ranching, Trophy Big Game Hunts, the characters, the mountain treks, the flying adventures, friends and family, scenery, photos. An amazing man, the like of whom there could hardly be another! Joan Snyder (cousin)

Condolences Maxine and family on your loss. Maxine when I read Mac, Bob's obituary, Mac started telling me about the trip Bob made with his dad in 1948 trailing horses from the Bearberry to the Black Cat Ranch at Brule, how high the rivers were and finally Erik his dad loading the horses on rail cars at Rocky Mount House and sending them to Brule that way. Quite the trip for a 12 year old. Mac said, "I've known Bob all my life he was a good friend."
