Our family sends condolences to the Ardill Family members. Our father, Vance Dancy, spoke of the Ardill family fondly many times while we were growing up. Dad and Dick are now talking of old times while they sit around and look down on all of us, as we continue our own journeys on earth. From the DANCY family crew

Dick was the president of the BC Cattlemen's Association and my mom (Grace Clark-Pearson) was the secretary in the mid-80's. My sister and I did the coat check for the new year's dance. I was sitting with my mom, listening to the music and visiting. Dick had asked all the ladies to dance, and he asked me. I said "I don't know how to dance." He said "You aren't going to learn sitting there." We went up to the dance floor and Dick asked me if I could count to 3. I said yes.He said "Ok, count to 3 and move your feet so they don't get stepped on".By the time the song was over, I had it figured out.He was always so kind and had time for a visit, even when I was a child and my dad (Morley Clark) used to haul cattle for him. I remember him and Irene fondly. What a huge loss. I am so sorry.

My sincere condolences to Dicks family on his passing. I have never forgotten my time while posted to Hudsons Hope and having the honour to meet Dick. I will always cherish having been able to participate in the annual brandings. I hope you and Irene are once again enjoying each others company and watching over the ranch. RIP Dick.
