I only just heard about Miro's passing and want to express my deepest sympathies. I only met Miro a few times, yet he treated me and my partner as if we were family...made us feel so welcome. He had such a sparkle in him and made the world brighter for anyone who was lucky enough to know him.

It is with a sad heart I read about the passing of Miro. I was introduced as a young lad of about 15 or so to Miro his brother George (I think that was his name) and Morris Reid in the early to mid 60's. Miro owned a garage at Buick Creek and I believe George and Morris both had farms. A memory I talk about to this day was being introduced (Much to Harold Thompson's chagrin) to the belly bumping contest in Miro's garage on the weekends. From that day to this he has always held a special place in my heart and so it shall remain ... :-) Derwyn Ross

Bonny, Cindy, Wayne and families, remembering the unofficial mayor of Buick with a smile, and thinking of you all, with much love. Although our first meeting terrified me, after that it was pure delight! Rest in peace, Miro.

Bonny, Cindy, Wayne and families. Very fond memories of Miro starting in 1973 when the Alberta Wheat Pool opened the elevator at Buick. Miro helped us so much as we arrived with no water, no heat and two little boys. Many times we called on him for help and he was right there and willing to do it. He was always cheerful and we mostly got to visit with him at auction sales over the years. There is no doubt you will all feel a piece is missing in your lives our thoughts go out to you.
