It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Rosalynn Baron at 71 years of age. Rosalynn was born on September 29, 1950 in Fort St. John and passed away on December 9, 2021 in Fort St. John.
Rosalynn was born on September 29, 1950, the second daughter of Rollie and Rose DeTonnancourt. She attended school at Immaculata, Bert Bowes and North Peace Secondary graduating in 1969.
Rosalynn married Ray Baron on February 27, 1970 and together they had three children, daughter Michelle and twin boys Chris and Chad.
Rosalynn worked in the School District office and then joined the Rosebrook Flooring with her mom and Dennis Brooks. She continued working at Rosebrook for 30 years, as well as opening her own business First Choice Bookkeeping with her son Chad in 1997.
Rosalynn was an accomplished quilter, crocheter and crafter. Many homes near and far undoubtedly have some of her creations. She was a fixture at many bazaars and craft sales. A kind and generous soul she never forgot birthdays or milestones in other people's lives. Family and friends are going to miss the poppycock, the jams and jellies and the family discount (free) on her treats and handwork.
Rosalynn was a Lifetime member of the Fort St. John Hospital Women's Auxiliary working tirelessly for over 40 years especially for the Gift Shop.
Rosalynn was predeceased by her parents and her sister Colette. She is survived by her husband Ray, daughter Michelle, sons Chris and Chad, her sister Joanne (Wayne) Badry, her grandchildren Chase, Alannah (Jeff) and Courtney (Travis) and great grandchildren Kayden, Hudson, Jemma, Julia and Harper.
