Obituary of Don & Jean Wollen

Obituary It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of both of our parents, Don and Jean Wollen. Donald Gordon Wollen, born July 28, 1933 in Trochu, Alberta, passed away December 27, 2021. Don was predeceased by his parents, Victor Linton Wollen and Esther Regina (Sanderman) Wollen; four brothers, Louis Wollen (Georgina), Herman Wollen (Wynne), Vernor Wollen (Olwyn), and Mert Wollen (Betty); and three sisters, Lena Thompson (Harold), Elizabeth Phillips (Gordon), and Elsie Krebs (Mike). Jean Catherine (Reid) Wollen, born November 24, 1930 in Fort St. John, BC, passed away in the Fort St. John Hospital December 30, 2021. Jean was predeceased by her parents, George Roy Reid and Katherine (Long) Reid; brothers Maurice Reid (Grace), Bert Reid (Fran); and she is survived by her brother Walter (Diane) Reid. Don and Jean were married on January 8, 1953 and would have celebrated 69 years of marriage in January 2022. They leave behind a wonderful legacy of four children, Kay Heidt, Cheryl Wollen, Sandra Wollen, Brent (Sandi) Wollen; twelve grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. They will be greatly missed by friends and family alike.
