The responses from commercial relationships Brenda and I made has been overwhelming. Friends and neighbours have gone above and beyond that. Thank you - from Evan Leslie.

One of the first rural locals I had the pleasure of meeting when I moved up to this area was Brenda Sereda. She made me feel like part of the community. She always had time to visit, educate me of some of the local history and crack a joke or two. Her professional care at work correlated into her personal life and all the people she was able to connect with. Brenda and Evans time of delivering for the community is a chapter I do not want to end. I feel selfish but it was a part of my life i looked forward to, even though we just got to visit. All my condolences to Brendas family and everyone in her life. She was a great Human Being

Dear Tara, Rob, Shirley, Karen, Barb, Evan and families, I am absolutely stunned and don't know what to say. I am so very sorry and heartbroken for Brenda's passing. So many great childhood memories - secrets and dreams whispered together; laughter (and mischief) shared. One special memory is the time we camped down at Tom's Flat, got spooked by packrats or squirrels, and walked all the way up to Grandpa's and Grandma's in the pitch black night! There wasn't a lot that Bean and I didn't know about each other as kids. As adults, it didn't matter how much time passed between running into each other; it was always a comfortable, chatty catch-up when we did. You always had a smile and chuckle, Brenda, no matter what, and you will perpetually have a special place in my heart. From our family - Our thoughts, prayers, and sincerest condolences are with Brenda's whole family, extended family, and friends. With love, Charleen (Barr), Eira, Kimmo & Timo Lucas

Im so sorry to hear of Brendas passing. Thank you for inviting me down to the river, and for having my back, and for your smile, Ill always hold that with me. I became friends with Brenda after she accidentally flooded our basement and my husband tore a strip off of her. Brenda took a licking and kept on ticking and I was like this chick is awesome. Tough as nails, heart of gold, gone way too soon but loved forever. Condolences to the family

Brenda has been such a beautiful friend and neighbour. I knew I'd love her forever within 5 minutes of meeting her. I still hear her saying "how you doing sweetie" with the biggest smile and best hug. She was tough as nails and yet the biggest softie. She always made people feel welcomed and loved. And boy did she know how to stir up some fun. I loved her ability to encourage people to do things, like take that jump on the sled, and her pure mischievous joy as they did it. I once got elbow deep in a dead rooster while she slapped her leg in laughter. She just had a way of making things seem like a good idea. Brenda will be immensely missed at the river fireside.

Seeing this took me right back to high school with Brenda, and the shenanigans we had. She was a kind, caring and fun person. So sorry for your very great loss. RIP, Beautiful. Elaine (Barker) OHara

Rob, Tara, Emmy-Lou, Shirley, Karen, Barb, Evan: So very sorry to hear of Brendas passing. Honestly stunned by the news. The Sunrise-Two Rivers kids were a pretty close knit group - softball games, snowmobiling, school bus rides, community dance lessons, community events, 4-H. Decades have passed but those are fond, foundational memories. Our sincere condolences on your loss. Andreas, Jennifer, Christine Aalhus

We met Brenda several years ago through her business, and found we had friends in common. Enjoyed our visits very much right until we moved out of Fort St John last spring. Her big smile and cheerful demeanour always brightened up my day. Our condolences to her family.
