Obituary of Cindy-Lee Laurie Piazza

Obituary On May 10, 2022, God called home Cindy-Lee (Cindy) Laurie Piazza (nee Found) after a long battle with cancer. She was welcomed home to be with Him, her parents (Clifford and Kathy (Kitty) Found), and her brothers-in-law (Ted and Robert); family that she missed deeply. Cindy was born on July 25, 1958, in Kitimat Village. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Gaston); her son, Michael (Sue), and her five grandchildren, Darin, Mikayla, Blaik, Heidi, and Declan. Her sisters, Sandra, Bonnie, Lori, and Kathy, were all very near and dear to her heart. The many memories of their childhood together with their parents formed some of her most cherished memories that cancer could not touch. Her brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews brought her much happiness and she will miss them greatly. Jim remained a special person in her heart, and Cindy always said that she was glad he remarried someone she couldn't fault with no matter how hard she tried (Patsy). When you remember Cindy, you'll instantly recollect that she was immensely proud of her 30 plus year career with Canadian Tire in stores across BC and Alberta. She wore many hats for their leadership teams, and gathered many dear co-workers and friends along the way. Her career-long friendships with Jack & Jill Usla, Ross & Julie Bannerman, and Mike, Sandy, Ryan, and Amy Bauldic were very special to her. Her pets were her world, and long drives on her days off with her dog to take photographs of Canadian wildlife, landscapes, and wildflowers filled her bucket. Adventures with her cherished friends, Nina, Diane, Rosemary, Maggie, and others, pinned memories on her heart that she carried with her. The nature of the cancer Cindy had was successful in deleting much of her freedom and enjoyment since her diagnosis, but it was these memories that her heart was able to occasionally recall, and brought her comfort. By Cindy's request, no service will be held. Her children are hosting a casual BBQ in Rose Prairie on July 3, 2022 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm for those who wish to gather and share amongst one another memories of when their lives were enriched by knowing Cindy. Please contact Michelle (250-271-0441) to RSVP and for more details. Cindy's family will honour her last wishes this fall and travel to the Yukon to spread her ashes; this will be a private event. We would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to mom's family doctors, the Fort St. John oncology department, and the entire care team at Peace Villa for their kindness, support, compassion, and care throughout our mom's journey with this terrible illness.
