Obituary
Brian’s unexpected passing has left his wife Vanessa and their three young children without a source of income, and any donation, big or small, to help them through this tragic time would be appreciated, and can be sent by e-transfer to n_whalen@hotmail.com
There will be a celebration of life at the home of Matt and Heidi at 12947 Sunnyside Drive in Charlie Lake, on Saturday September 17, 2022 at 3:00 pm
Everyone is welcome to attend
Brian will be laid to rest at home in Newfoundland, in the summer of 2023.
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loved one Brian, after a tragic side by side accident.
Brian leaves to mourn, his loving wife Vanessa (nee Marsh) and their three young children Mya (8), Kate (6), and Eric (5).
Also left behind to mourn are his parents Brian and Natalie Whalen, brother Bradley, and sister Emily, his mother-in-law Lynn Marsh, sisters-in-law Heidi (Matt), and Ashley, special niece Isabelle, and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends and Facebook followers.
Brian was born and raised in Newfoundland. He and Vanessa moved to Fort St. John in 2006 for employment.
They were married shortly after, started their family and had three children.
They had a favourite vacation spot at Watino. They truly loved it there, where they enjoyed gathering with friends on the beach or in the field, or visiting at the neighbours cabins and campers. This is where the tragic accident occurred.
Brian loved his family, and he had a great love of music. He spent many hours singing and playing music on his Facebook groups.
Brian was the sole provider for his family and unfortunately his passing leaves them without income during this most difficult time. Any monetary donation will be gladly accepted to help with the necessary expenses in the coming days. Again, e-transfers can be sent to the address above.
Thank you all and God Bless.
