Obituary of Ralph Apsassin
Obituary
Ralph "Texas Ranger" Apsassin, hunter, trapper and guide/outfitter, was born to Daniel and Julienne Apsassin on April 22, 1947 at the Beaver Indian Camp, Mile 147 on the Alaska Highway. Ralph lived and worked hunting and guiding at Mile 147, Pink Mountain, the Sikanni area, Montney IR 172, the Beatton River district/Family trapline, and Blueberry River Indian Reserve. He grew up with his grandparents, parents, sisters, and brothers in the Dunne-zaa and Cree traditions and way of life. Ralph passed away on September 13, 2022 in Prince George, British Columbia.
Funeral service for Ralph will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 11:00 am from the Blueberry River First Nation Band Hall with a wake to be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 6:00pm also at the band hall.
