While I wasn't listed as a son, he will always be my dad. Took better care of me than my biological family ever did. He was a good man, this world lost a great treasure, I will never forget his teachings which made me the man I am today Rest in peace, dad

My most vivid memory of Alvin is when he came to visit when I was a young teenager. He was telling all sorts of very animated stories making us all laugh so hard. We had a good visit with him a couple yrs back when he cam to visit my parents Jack & Dorothy. We played horse shoes and had lots of good laughs. Thoughts and love to all my cousins and Auntie Alice.

I remember my mother Eva babysitting Alvin and the older kids. Alvin was a great guy always happy, heck of a worker and always telling jokes. He will be greatly missed.

RIP cousin Alvin. On behalf of my sisters & brother, I send our love and our deepest condolences to our aunty Alice, Alvin's sons, daughters, grandchildren and all our cousins, the Pyle family. I will always remember Alvin's mischievous smile that told you he was up to something. Childhood memories from uncle Amos' farm in Buick Creek were many. I recall Alvin ("Tiny") as a young boy, he was tough and athletic full of wild spirit! As kids, we had just arrived at the farm, I wasn't paying attention until it was too late, Alvin came running full speed and head rammed my tummy, I almost fell over, it was painful but we laughed and then we went to catch horses. We were tough farm kids. My siblings probably have other memories to share about Alvin. We grew up and didn't see each other often. Alvin worked around Calgary as a tool push. While in Balzac he bunked at my home in Calgary, he worked nights and we only visited before I left for work. Another time, I picked up Danny and took him to Nanton to join his dad on a rig. Alvin was a hard working man, who cared about his family. Alvin is missed. It is with great sadness that he had left us far too soon. Thoughts and prayers to my family during this difficult time. Linda Chipesia ("Lindy") and late Aunty Rose's family.A candle was lit
