Maxine and I were Facebook buddies. We shared a fabric addiction and always admired each other's quilts. I enjoyed reading her obituary. It's wonderful to know she had such a rich life history. Condolences to her family. Wrap up in a quilt and feel her love.

I remember going out with my grandma and dad to see aunty Maxine and Jackie and aunty Maxine ended up giving me one of her homemade quilts and it is one of my most cherished possessions and I wish I could've thanked her one last time before she passed.

How does one share 50 plus years of memories of a dear friend. In the early years we shared love of our mountain homes, flying with our husbands, traded recipe secrets, correspondence woes, trail cooking experiences and everything in between. Time and distance separated us, but when we could we visited. Maxine will be missed by all whose lives she touch with her wit and good humour. Hugs and prayers to those shes left behind. Shes with the love of her life now.
