Obituary of Kevin Stanley James Palmer
Kevin Stanley James Palmer
February 21, 1965 – November 26, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad, and grandpa, Kevin Palmer, on November 26, 2024, holding the hand of his best friend (his wife) at the Fort St John Hospital. His passing leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Kevin was the epitome of kindness, humor, and love. He had a gift for making everyone feel cared for and seen, and his infectious laughter brightened every room he entered. Above all else, he was the best dad, the best grandpa, and an incredible husband. His family meant everything to him, and his love for them was endless.
Kevin is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Julie; his three loving daughters: Amanda (Carl), Brandy (Natasha), and Calli (Tyson); and six adoring grandchildren: Lane, Levi, and Walker (children of Amanda); Dylan (child of Calli); and Vida and Luca (children of Brandy); sister Kim (Randy); and numerous nieces and nephews. His family was the center of his universe, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Kevin is predeceased by his mom, Jean; uncle, Jimmy; cousin, Maria; and brother-in-law Kevin Furlong. Kevin’s dad, Curtis, passed away shortly after Kevin.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the extraordinary staff on the 16th floor (BMT) at Vancouver General Hospital for their compassionate and exceptional care during Kevin’s treatment. Your kindness and dedication brought comfort during the most challenging times.
Kevin will be deeply missed but will forever be remembered for the love he shared, the joy he brought, and the incredible legacy he leaves behind in the hearts of his family and friends.
Details of a celebration of life to honor Kevin’s memory will be shared at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kevin’s memory to the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation, 8407 112 Avenue, Fort St. John, BC V1J 0J5.
