Dwayne was the best neighbour you could wish for. Not only was he always there to lend a hand but he always knew what needed to be done…and he did it! We will greatly miss this kind hard working man, our neighbour and our friend!

Dwayne, I loved the way you cared for me when we were kids, my brother. It's the part I am going to miss the most. Our family will never be the same without you. We will grieve your presence in our life to the end of our days. You had such love for all of us, especially Manon, Dave, Mike, grandchildren and daughter-in-law. You were an adventurous, hardworking and dedicated. I’m so proud that you passed these qualities to the boys. You were our hunter and gatherer- out at the crack of dawn to check your snares, hunting small and large game or fishing at secret lake #5. You were always on the move. Bamapii my brother.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Dwayne. He was smart, compassionate, great leader and a joker. There is one memory in particular, from the time when he was mentoring me as a manager, I’d like to share. I keep these stored in a special place in my mind, I like to call: Words of Wisdom from Dwayne – “If you want to be left alone, you just grab a clipboard and go for a walk around the mill. Every so often stop walking, glare at something random, shake your head in disgust, and then pretend to write something down on your clipboard. Then quickly walk away. Everyone will steer clear of you.” I can’t help but smile anytime I look back on time spent with Dwayne. My heart goes out to your family, the world is less joyful without you in it!

I am so sad to hear this. Dwayne was a father, friend, mentor and teacher to so many of us. He is one of the best people I was lucky enough to know in this life.
