Obituary of Taylor Barbara Zeck

Taylor Zeck

1995 - 2024

It is with sad hearts thay we share the news of Taylor's sudden passing on June 25th, 2024, in Vancouver at St. Paul's Hospital.

Taylor Zeck was born November 5th, 1995, in Kamloops, BC and moved to Fort St. John with her mom, Laura and brother, Daine in September 2005.

Taylor tried to stay strong and fought hard to overcome all the obstacles that came her way.

With everything Taylor endured, she stayed positive and was gracious till the end. In the hospital, Taylor listened to her music, lip-synced along with her favorite songs and she found the strength to FaceTime a few friends and family. She couldn't talk but her smile spoke volumes.

Taylor's passions in life were music (that's an understatement), going to concerts, being a "Swiftie", Magnum PI superfan, Astro photography, travelling, and she was the biggest Calgary Flames fan ever!

Taylor loved her family and friends and held them close to her heart. She was always kind and gracious to everyone she met. Even at the hospital when the doctors and nurses entered the room, she would always give them the thumbs up and a little wave. She mustered up the strength to smile and watch TV and listen to her favorite songs.

Through her 28 years she loved ALL the trips she went on with friends and family. Especially the ones she and her mom took together.

Taylor would talk to anyone that would listen. She was so proud of all her things. When you walked in to the house she would always ask - "do you want to see my room?" (Which was decorated with posters of her favorite actors, singers and action hero's - oh can't forget the Calgary Flames.) She was always excited to share interesting facts about her favorite shows, actors, and her astronomy. The pictures she took of the moon were amazing.

Taylor loved celebrating Christmas and her Birthday, she was always prepared for both of these occasions; she had her list made out and given to us by July, with continuous updates throughout the year.

Taylor will always fill our hearts with her music.

Taylor left behind - Mom (Laura), Stepdad (Wayne), Dad (Gord), Brother (Daine) and sister-in-law (Sadie).

A service for Taylor will be held at the property of Laura and Wayne Fibich. This will be an opportunity for all who knew Taylor to come together, share memories and "see her room" on July 13, 2024 at 2:00 pm at 13210 Old Hope Road, Charlie Lake, BC.

Taylor drew strength from Terry Fox. His courage gave her the strength to keep going. She would say, "If Terry Fox can do it, I can do it!"
