Monika Sperling

May 2, 1926 - Jun 14, 2024

It is with heavy hearts the family of Monika Sperling announce her passing on June 14, 2024 at the age of 98.

Monika immigrated to Canada after the war in Germany. She made Fort St. John her home. It is here she raised her family of five children on the farm in Baldonnel.

Monika will be remembered for her love of gardening, cooking wonderful meals and amazing baking. Her large garden and flower beds were her pride and joy.

Monkia was part of a group of strong women in her time who worked on the farm taking care of the garden and farm animals. She unselfishly provided for her family. When friends and neighbors dropped by to visit, Monika always had coffee and homemade baking to share. Her homemade buns were a treat for many to enjoy.

Monika was predeceased by her first husband, Peter Scheck, second husband, Phillip Sperling and son, Ed.

Left to mourn her passing are her children; Charlene Wall (Neil), Wayne Sperling, Randy Sperling (Gwen), and Brian Sperling (Charlene).  She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren; Allysson, Katelynn, Brandon, Christopher, Stephen, Patrick, Rebecca, Austin, Lorynn, and Raven.
