Robert Alvin Janzen, known affectionately as Bob, was born on September 25, 1960, in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, and passed away on June 12, 2024, in Fort St. John, British Columbia. His departure has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him, and his memory will be cherished by many.
Bob's legacy is one of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Karen Mitchell, and his stepchildren, Dean Freeman and Brandi Lamoureaux (Don). His mother, Eileen Janzen, and his siblings, Wes (Lynn), Terry (Darci), and Tracy (Clint), will forever hold him in their hearts. Bob also leaves behind six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, twelve nieces and nephews, and thirteen great-nieces and nephews. His sister-in-law, Audrey Medcalfe, his brother-in-law, Stuart Mitchell, and his sister-in-law, Trudy Mitchell, along with their families, will mourn his passing.
Bob's life was marked by his love for the outdoors and his passion for spending time with his family. Whether it was camping, riding horses, quads, or snowmobiles, he found joy in every moment shared with his loved ones. His selfless spirit shone through in his years of volunteering for numerous organizations in the Fort St. John area, leaving a lasting impact on the community he held dear.
