Obituary of Jim Parsons

Kenneth James (Jim) Parsons, a practical and hardworking man, passed away on December 19, 2023, at the age of 71.

He was born in Oxbow, Saskatchewan, living his younger years in Roche Percee and Estevan, Saskatchewan.

Jim married Sharon Wilson in 1972 and they relocated to Fort St. John, BC,

where they had four children: Jim (Nicole), John (Sara), Jackie (Shawn), and Jamie.

Jim spent a significant part of his life working as a heavy equipment operator in the Oil and Gas industry,

in both Saskatchewan and BC, utilizing his skills and dedication.

In 1986, he met Donna Snider, and they married in 1988. Together, they had two daughters, Dallas (Aaron) and Skye (Dave).

 At the age of 69, Jim retired fully and was able to focus on his passions—his horses and his garden.

His retirement allowed him to indulge in the activities he loved.

Some of Jim's greatest memories were visits to his grandparent's farm, which he often reminisced about, especially his English grandmother;

as well as camping and fishing adventures with his children and grandchildren.

These times shared with his family became cherished chapters in the story of Jim's life.

Jim's retirement years were a time of joy and the pursuit of the simple pleasures that brought him fulfillment.

His legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family.

Jim is survived by his wife Donna, children Jim Jr, John, Jackie, Jamie, Dallas and Skye

as well as grandchildren Austin, Kayden, Stella, Ewan, Cameron and Alyssa.

Jim is loved and is missed.
