Obituary of Fredrick Albert Fleming

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Fredrick Albert Fleming, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend whose kindness, strength, and quiet presence touched the lives of many.

 

Born in Pouce Coupe, British Columbia on September 9, 1941.  Fred spent his early years growing up on his family’s half-section farm in Cherry Point, Alberta where he developed the strong work ethic and values that would guide him throughout his life. In 1954, at the age of 13, he moved to Fort St John, a community he loved and proudly called home for the rest of his days.

 

On April 14, 1983, Fred married the love of his life, Linda Fleming. Together they shared a deep bond, building a life filled with love, laughter, friendship, and countless cherished memories. Their devotion to one another was evident to all who knew them.

 

A hardworking and dedicated man, Fred spent his career in heavy equipment as an operator, mechanic, and Forman. He was respected for his skill, reliability, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.

 

In his spare time, Fred enjoyed cheering on his beloved Edmonton Oilers, faithfully supporting his team through every season.

 

More than anything, Fred will be remembered for his caring heart, gentle nature, unwavering loyalty, and the love he shared with family and friends. Though he will be greatly missed, the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

 

A Celebration of Life honoring Fred and his beloved wife Linda will be announced at a later date.
