Isaak Bergen
(1935-2026)
Ike Bergen, 91, of Fort St. John, BC, died of old age on May 13th, 2026. He was born in Osler, Saskatchewan, to Jacob and Anna Bergen, the 12th of 17 children.
He worked as a foreman for Takla Logging Company before marrying Irmgard Voigt and moving to Burns Lake, where he farmed and worked winters as a faller.
He and Irmi moved north of Fort St. John in 1991, where they raised cattle and farmed grain. He retired in 2017 and spent the last few years in seniors housing.
He is predeceased by his wife, Irmgard, and is survived by his children, Josh Bergen and Corinna Toews and their families.
He will be interred in the Rose Prairie Cemetery at 1 pm June 5th, followed by a service in his memory at Upper Pine Gospel Chapel at 2 pm.
