Obituary of Stanley Samuel Dyck
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Stanley Samuel Dyck (Sam), on April 7, 2026. Sam leaves behind his beautiful wife Cathy, who gave him his spark back after the loss of Deanna, his first wife of nearly 49 yrs; his children - Curtis (Brandy) Dyck, Dwayne (Tammy) Dyck, Shawn (Yvonne) Dyck, Ryan (Ruth-Ann) Dyck, and Amara Dyck. Sam leaves behind a legacy of love in his grandchildren that he was so proud of - Paden (Kira), Galateya, Rachel (Keaton), Colton (Erin), Ashlyn (Tyrell), Joel (Lidia), Alyssa, Paige (Aden), James, Sarah, Elijah, Elizabeth, Deborah and Dinah, and his two precious great-grandsons - Waylen and Stetson. And his new family - Martin (Tovah) Bauer, Robert (Terri) Bauer, Stephanie Bauer, and Peter Bauer, and grandchildren Uriah, Ansen, Lena, Olive, Phoebe and Boyce. Sam was loved by so many others as a brother, uncle, spiritual dad, hunting and fishing guide, and friend.
Sam was a remarkable man who loved with all his heart. He generously shared everything he had and helped anyone and everyone he could, and showed everyone he met the love of Jesus through his actions.
Sam’s family would like to invite friends and family to come and celebrate his life and honor him on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 1:00 at the Fort St. John Alliance Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to Spirit Ablaze Ministries and Rehab Training Centre, a ministry that Sam was proud to support. Donations can be made by e-transfer to spiritablaze@gmail.com
Our family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the First Responders, the staff in the emergency department, and especially the doctors and nurses in the ICU at the Fort St. John Hospital. Your care and compassion will never be forgotten.
For those unable to attend in person, the service will be livestreamed. A link to the livestream can be found HERE.
