Obituary of Ella Doreen Fraser
Ella Doreen (Waye) Fraser passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Peace Villa Care Facility in Fort St. John, B.C., at the age of 93. Born Dec. 4, 1932, in Wayerton, New Brunswick, she has called Fort St. John home since 1972.
Ella was the devoted wife of Jack Fraser, who predeceased her by 14 years. They shared a deep and abiding love that spanned decades, devoted to each other and to their God. May they rest together safely in His loving arms.
Ella leaves behind to mourn her passing her children: Twila (Wyatt) Soule, Donna (Kim) Stewart, and Scott (Kim) Fraser. She was the proud grandmother to 7 grandchildren: Kelsey (Royd) Lusk, Tyler (Jacqueline) Soule, Ashley (Peter) Bergen, Adam (Melissa) Stewart, Jennifer (Neil Hudak) Gray, Shane (Karly Keeping) Fraser, and Emily (Alex Steel) Fraser; 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. Time spent with family meant everything to her, and she watched them all grow with a joyful heart.
She was a remarkable woman who met life’s challenges with grace and dignity, knowing that God was always in her corner. She made a lasting impression on all who knew her, and her memory will live on in those who loved her. We will miss her deeply.
Our family is deeply appreciative to all of the staff at Peace Villa. They were patient and kind and kept us in the loop with regards to Mom’s health. Thank you also to Dr. Albiatly for his Sunday visits, which brought Mom great comfort.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, at the Charlie Lake Community Church at 1:00 p.m.
