Obituary of Kenneth Norman Hansen
Kenneth Norman Hansen, a beloved son, devoted father, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, in Fort St. John, British Columbia. Born on September 5, 1964, in Kelowna, BC, Ken lived a life rich in love, laughter, family and the simple joys of nature.
Ken was the proud father of two wonderful children, Christopher and Rebecca, who were the lights of his life. He dedicated himself to being a nurturing and supportive parent, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams. Ken's love for his children was profound and unwavering; he was their biggest cheerleader, always ready with a listening ear or a warm embrace.
Growing up in the picturesque surroundings of Kelowna, Ken developed a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. Fishing was not just a pastime for him; it was a passion that brought him peace and joy. Many cherished memories were made on the banks of rivers and lakes, where he would often take his children, teaching them the art of casting a line and the importance of patience. Those moments spent in nature were filled with laughter, stories, and the simple pleasure of being together, creating bonds that would last a lifetime.
Ken was also a wonderful son, deeply loved by his parents, Bent and Jytte.
At this time, there will not be a funeral service; however, a celebration of Ken's life will be held at a later date. Family and friends are encouraged to come together to share stories, laughter, and memories that honor the incredible man he was.
Kenneth Norman Hansen will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of love, kindness, and adventure will live on in the hearts of his children, family, and friends, reminding us all to embrace life with open arms and to find joy in every moment.
