Eileen Clare Harwood (Claire)

18 May, 1945 – 2 January, 2026

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our loved one, Claire Harwood.   Claire passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2026 at her home in Calgary at the age of 80.  She is survived by her sister Mary and brother Stephen (Veronica), stepson Charles Lenney (Karen), nephews Sean (Bronwen) and Chris (Nicole); nieces Julia (Sean) and Lucy; grandchildren Charles (Devynn) and Alysia (Garrett); great-grandchildren Watson and Hannah; great nephews Aedan, Iain and Sebastian, great nieces Liliana, Wynn and Emily. 

Claire lived in Fort St John and for 44 years was a maternity nurse at the Fort St John Hospital and delivered thousands of babies before she moved to Calgary.    For all her many friends and family we will be holding a Celebration of Life in May in Fort St John. 

A celebration of life for Claire will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 1:00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Fort St. John. 

An urn interment will be held the following Monday at the columbarium at Woodlawn Cemetery.
