Richard Ramstead
1967 - 2026
Richard Gary Ramstead sadly passes away on January 6th, 2026 after a short and courageous battle with ALS.
Richard was born in Fort St. John, British Columbia on January 19th 1967 to parents Melvin Ramstead and Gloria Mellott (Palmer). Richard was soon after blessed with two younger brothers, Shawn and Troy Ramstead.
He will always be remembered for his caring and selfless personality. Richard never put himself first and always made sure people around him were looked after.
Richard took great pride in his 20+ year career at Enerflex as a parts manager, supporting the Oil and Gas industry across western Canada.
He was a true northerner, and loved spending days on the water in his boat and evenings around the campfire with friends and family. He also found happiness on a dusty ball diamond, in a cold arena and keeping the beat behind his drums.
Richard is survived by his father, Melvin Ramstead, Brothers Shawn Ramstead and Troy Ramstead, step father Leroy Mellott, and step siblings Jody Mellott, Joe Mellott, Jeff Mellott and countless other close family member and friends.
Celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
