Ronald Cooper

Obituary of Ronald Keith Cooper

The family of Ronald Keith Cooper is deeply saddened to announce his passing on December 31, 2025.

Ron was a man known for his wit and humour. He was a friend to many and someone who truly loved life. He took pride in his work as an oilfield consultant and in the many buddies he made along the way. Ron had a generous nature and deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the pride of his life. He was someone people naturally gravitated toward, and his absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him at his best. His passing is a profound tragedy, but there is peace in knowing he is no longer burdened by the physical and mental weight he carried in his last years.

Ron was predeceased by his parents, Keith and Marguerite (née Déry), and his brother, John. He is survived by his son, Tyson (Amelia), and their daughter, Grace; his daughter, Chelsy (Will Christian), and their daughter, Cameron; his brother, Gary (Denise); his sister, Karen (Greg Stretch); and by all who loved him.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wings of Care for their care and support. They especially thank Ron’s caregiver and friend, Bobby.

A memorial service will be held when all who need to travel are able to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Palliative Care Society of Fort St. John, in appreciation of their support during this time.

Donations may be made by cheque, mailed to 9812 108th Avenue, Fort St. John, BC, V1J 2R3 or e-transfers may be sent to fsjpcstreasurer@gmail.com. For e-transfers, please include your mailing address in the memo so a donation receipt may be issued
