In Loving Memory of Wayne Morris Carlson Jr.
It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Wayne Morris Carlson Jr. on November 13, 2025, in Fort St. John, B.C. Born on June 7, 1978, in Vancouver, B.C., Wayne Jr. was the son of Wayne and Cathy Carlson. When he was just two years old, the family moved to Fort St. John, where he attended Alwin Holland Elementary, then progressed to Dr. Kearney, ultimately graduating from North Peace Secondary School at 18 in 1996.
In his childhood, Wayne Jr. enjoyed playing baseball with his father in the evenings at Alwin Holland. As he grew older, he developed a passion for collecting Hot Wheels, Transformers, knives, and war memorabilia. Wayne Jr. had a fulfilling career as a loader operator for Cordova, Oculus Transport, and Koda, where he excelled and found great joy in his work.
Wayne Jr. will be fondly remembered by those closest to him for his sense of humor and occasional stubbornness.
He is predeceased by his grandfather, Fred Carlson, and his grandmother, Frances Mehan.
Wayne Jr. will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his daughters, Alexia Kelly and Adria Ireland Carlson; his spouse, Elizabeth Ireland; his father, Wayne Carlson (and step-mother, Carol Cordonier); his mother, Cathy Warren, his sister Cindy Derouin; as well as his nieces, Daylce and Miley, and nephew, Noah Derouin.
