Beatrice Dianne Dewolfe

July 3, 1942 – August 31, 2025

 

Beatrice Dewolfe, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Fort St. John, BC, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, at the age of 83 years.

 

Beatrice was born on July 3, 1942, in Fort St. John to her loving parents, Florence and Jack McLeod. She spent her early years growing up in Fort St. John before moving to Fort Nelson, BC, after marrying, where she raised their family. Later in life, Beatrice returned to her hometown of Fort St. John and eventually settled in Grande Prairie with her family. She spent much of her working life as a devoted homemaker and camp cook.

 

Beatrice had a vibrant personality and enjoyed a variety of hobbies that kept her mind sharp and her spirit lively. She loved playing bingo, tackling puzzles, and trying her luck at the casino. However, her favorite pastime was spending time on Facebook, where she kept in touch with family and friends near and far.

 

She will be deeply missed by her children: Val Harris (Duchene) and her husband Robert Harris; her sons Rob Dewolfe and his spouse Darla Preston, Derrick Duchene and his spouse Janet Falle, and Greg Herman. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Curtis, Nikki, Greg, Cole, Tyson, Robert, Keanna, and Ryder, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn many siblings, nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

 

Beatrice was predeceased by her son, Gary Skinner, daughter Dianne Duchene, and granddaughter Chrystal Lynn Lambert.

 

A luncheon will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 12:00 pm, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 102 (10103 105 Ave) in Fort St John, BC, with a service to follow. Interment to follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery (12374 86 St), in Fort St. John.
