Kathy Donally. Just a few memories to share.
MOM, what a beautiful name
Your wear it so well,
And to Honor you this day
Some memories I'll tell.
Some are times in the house on hundred and seventh
Like, you on the couch, hiding a puppy in your apron.
Yes, an apron you wore, in my mind that's my picture,
while making and decorating, dozens of santa faced cookies
for our class christmas parties, white beard, red hat.
Or drawing a picture of a grain elevator in my school book,
cause teacher wanted to know what my dad worked at.
And your garden with a row of peonies at the front boarder,
Oh there were carrots, potatoes, beets and beans,
But the best of all, were rows of peas
Then on to live next door to an A&W for just a short time,
Here with a budgie on your shoulder
you cooked, cleaned, did laundry and ironed,
I wanted to iron too, so you let me, tea towels and pillow cases,
Who does those, i now wonder
On to Grande Haven, now with a job as well.
We'd wake in the morning,to a wonderful smell,
fresh bread from the oven, and poridge on the stove
to fill our bellies as off to school we go.
And again, your garden, so full of good things,
expecially again those rows of peas.
a few family rides, all of us on horseback
Mom you are brave, i'll sure say that
Oh yes, and those times, we remanis about,
with cars, and snow, and we laugh together,
for you they must have been a heart stopping thrill.
And yes, we were off to work and school still,
How that bird chose to ride on your shoulder,
and talk as you worked, like he was your partner,
Oh, i could go on, as the good memories are many,
Thank you so much for the good years and times to remember.
But most of all, I'm so thankful,
for your prayers, your faith, and your example.
You led me to Jesus, He takes care of me now.
Its no wonder that name mom, can also be wow.

My condolences to the family. I have good memories of learning how to play different card games with Helen and Chris and Wes when I was a teenager , Then many years latter sitting and talking with Helen in the truck stop .

I met Helen a few years ago when I would visit her at the hospital. She was such a joyful soul. My condolence's to her family.

Mrs Small—such a lovely lady with a very LARGE heart. I’m glad we had a visit last year, just sorry I didn’t get back again. Rest in peace, home at last.
