Katherine M. Martin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away on June 13, 2025, in Fort St. John, British Columbia. She was born on March 11, 1962, in Bonneville, Alberta, and her passing has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her.

 

Katherine was the epitome of strength and grace. Her unwavering love and selflessness touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was a pillar of support for her family, always ensuring they had what they needed, even if it meant sacrificing her own desires. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit were a testament to the incredible person she was.

 

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael, her devoted sons, Anthony, Andrew, and Aaron, her beloved mother, Shirley Gargus, her father, Tom Gargus, her cherished sisters, Gail and Paulette, her dear brothers, Mark and Gordon, her sister-in-law, Terry, and her nephews, Adam and Chase. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Lauren, and her adored grandson, Holden. Katherine's passing has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of her family, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

 

In addition to her immediate family, Katherine is also survived by a large extended family, including her cousin, Amanda, and great cousin, Alandra, her brother-in-law, Allan, her brother-in-law, Bruce, and her niece, Meagan, and nephew, Connor. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Patrick, and his son, Tylor, and grandson, Rhyse, her sister-in-law, Debbie, and her husband, Jim, her niece, Brittney, and nephew, Cody, and her brother-in-law, Bruce, and his wife, Bev, and their nieces, Stephany and Rachel. Her passing has left a void in the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished by her extended family.

 

Katherine's impact extended beyond her family, as she touched the lives of countless others. Her strength, kindness, and compassion were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

 

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses at the Fort St. John General Hospital for their compassionate care and kindness during Katherine's time of need.
