Carol Mary Ann Kimmie

January 10, 1953 to May 18, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Carol Kimmie. Carol passed peacefully surrounded by her family on May 18, 2025 at the Kelowna General Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Carol was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Steve and Marie Kozak alongside siblings Brian and Shirley.  After obtaining her nursing degree from the University of Manitoba, Carol ventured off to Fort St. John to embark on a long nursing career at the FSJ Hospital, Care Home and Medical Clinic.

In Fort St. John, Carol met her husband of nearly fifty years, Don Kimmie.  Carol enjoyed time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and cheering for the Blue Jays!  Together they raised two children, Christopher and Patty.   In 2014, Don and Carol moved to Blind Bay to retire and be closer to the grandkids.

Carol will be forever missed and in the hearts of her husband Don; children Christopher (Laurie), Patty and grandchildren, Apollo, DaeLyn and Dawson.

A service for Carol will be held August 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at the Charlie Lake Community Hall. Following the service, everyone is invited to stay for a time of refreshments and sharing.
