It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Patricia Lee Helm, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Patricia passed away on May 29th, 2025, in the Fort St. John Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Patricia, known to her friends and family as Pat, was born on January 4th, 1944, in Bremerton, Washington, USA, to Martin and Nettie Townsend. Pat immigrated to Canada in the spring of 1974 with Bill and their four children. Pat was a woman of remarkable strength and unwavering love. She was a devoted wife to her husband Bill, and a nurturing mother to her children, Cinda, Martin, William, and Frank.  Pat’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of her loved ones. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched.

She is predeceased by her son Martin, grandson Lane, and great grandson Austin. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Bill, her daughter, Cinda, her sons William (Mellody), and Frank (Lynette), her grandchildren Jamie (Patrick), Willie (Courtney), Nancy, Quintin (Sarah), Marty, Sydni, Tyler, Avery, Carol-Lyn (Coltan) and Tyler and great grandchildren Rylan, Peyton, Nate, Leo, Andy, Liam, Maddox and Aaron.

A viewing of Pat for friends will be held at Hamre’s Funeral Chapel between the hours of 2:30 and 4:00pm on June 4th, 2025. A celebration of life to honour Pat will be held at Cecil Lake Community Hall on June 10th, 2025 at 12:30pm, where friends and family will come together to pay tribute to and remember a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed. She will then be intered at the Cecil Lake Cemetery. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her love will continue to guide and inspire those she leaves behind.
