Obituary of Sandra Mel Anderson

The family of Sandra “Sandy” Mel Anderson of Pink Mountain BC, regretfully announce her passing on April 19, 2025. Born on April 30,1940, in McBride, B.C. She passed over just shy of her 85^th birthday. She is survived by her husband of  67 years, and by the grace of God, all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sandy was a woman of beauty and talent. Many remember her for her pancakes, pies, donuts and homemade cinnamon buns. Others will call to mind her knitted sweaters, crocheted critters, wooden earrings and ornaments, painted boxes, rocks and punknots, her cartoons, quilts and the clothes she sewed for her family. Long time friends will recall her beautiful singing voice, the fact that she could coax a recognizable tune out of any instrument she laid hands on, and her love of horses, dogs and dancing.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday August 16, 2025, with a reception to follow, at the Seniors Hall at 10908-100^th Street in Fort St John.

Sandy was a faithful letter writer. There will be opportunity to share memories in the form of letters read aloud by yourself or a designated person.
