Lorraine Taylor

Obituary of Lorraine Francis Taylor

Lorraine Frances Taylor (Schultz) May 30, 1937 / April 16, 2025

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Cyril (Cy), of 62 years, son Lance, and grandson Abel Court.
Lorraine is survived by Garth and Susan Taylor, Valerie and Bruce Court, Sharon Taylor (widow of Lance), Darcy Anne and David Wieler, and 10 grandchildren: Emily and Ethan; Christopher, Daniel, Carissa, Rebeca, Angela and  Marissa, Colin and Casey and their mates, and 15 great- grandchildren, as well as close and very caring friends, Rick-and Sally- Jenkner, and Tim and Jane Stevens.

She will be missed by many others, who will remember her warmly.

Lorraine was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She met and married Cy Taylor in 1957 when he was stationed in Winnipeg with the R.C.A.F. In 1964, they moved with their three children to California,
where their fourth child, Darcy Anne, was born. They returned to Canada in 1975, settling in southern B.C., where Cy had spent much of his childhood. They had a number of small businesses, eventually
settling in Summerland. There they took over A&A Mini-Storage, which they expanded enormously, including adding a substantial wine cellar to the business, which they had for almost 25 years.
Cy and Lorraine were sportscar enthusiasts, and very actively involved with car clubs, where Lorraine was both Secretary and Events Coordinator over the years. They had purchased a 1952 Jaguar XK120 in
1960 and owned it for 62 years.
