It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden passing of Dallas Lance Dowd
on April 13, 2025 at just 39 years old.
Dallas was born and raised in Fort St. John, BC, on April 18, 1985 - a place he
continued to call home.
Though a twin, Dallas was uniquely himself - soft-spoken, compassionate and
approachable. Throughout his childhood he and his twin brother Myles spent
hours playing with action figures, reading comic books and getting lost in video
games. He spent many weekends and summers on the farm with his late
Grandparents, David and Hattie Close and cherished the memories made there
with his brothers, sister and cousins.
He held onto the friendships he made in life and had many memories with close
friends throughout the years.
He spent his career working in the natural gas industry, where he took great
pride in the friendships he developed with coworkers and had many lasting
connections.
Dallas loved deeply and always gave nothing less than his whole heart. He
remained loyal and present for those who had been a part of his life.
He found joy in exploring the outdoors, the companionship of his dogs,
discovering new music, funny TV shows and in anything blue. The greatest joy
being found in connecting with his nieces and nephews whenever he could.
Dallas carried a quiet strength, even through life's harder seasons, but always
remained there for the people he loved - offering kindness, conversation and the
biggest hugs.
Dallas will remain a beloved son to Pat and Laurie Dowd, a cherished brother to
Kelly Dowd, Lexie (Nathan) Pomeroy, and his twin Myles (Lea) Dowd, and a
proud uncle to Lincoln, Eden, Nash, Austin, Nixon, Grayson, Logan, and Callum.
It is without a doubt that Dallas will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His
family and friends will carry his memory with them always.
